On the Rocks Residence is a unique seaside home carved into the rocky coastline of Faros, on the island of Sifnos. Once a traditional pottery workshop, it has been lovingly transformed into a warm, intimate residence just a few steps from the Aegean Sea.

Here you wake up to the sound of the waves, drink your coffee facing the bay, and end the day watching the light fade over the whitewashed houses of Faros

From pottery studio to seaside retreat

The house was originally a working pottery studio back at 1940 , part of the long ceramic tradition of Sifnos. Today, it keeps the same spirit: simple lines, natural materials, handmade details and an honest connection with the landscape.

We have kept the space minimal and uncluttered, so that the focus remains on the sea, the rocks and the changing light throughout the day.

The residence

The residence “On the Rocks” at  Faros Sifnos island  is designed for one or two  couples or a small family who want to stay close to the sea and away from noise.

Faros – a quiet bay with character

Faros at  Sifnos island  is one of the most charming and relaxed bays of Sifnos. From the residence you can walk to the small port, traditional tavernas and the beach within a few minutes.

Nearby you will also find the famous path to the church of Chrysopigi, coastal trails, swimming spots on the rocks and small sheltered coves ideal for an early morning dip.

Sea experiences for our guests

Beyond the sun, the sea and the quiet rhythm of the bay, guests of On the Rocks Residence are invited to enjoy the water in a relaxed, authentic way.

Canoes and SUP boards are available to our guests for peaceful morning rides along the coast, while a small sailing dinghy — and occasionally a small motorboat — may be offered upon request, depending on weather conditions and availability.
